About Anna
Anna is in her second year of college. She went to High School in a modest-sized Massachusetts suburb called Franklin, and now studies and lives on campus at University of New Hampshire, a public state university with about 15,000 students. By the way, a quick Google search reveals that UNH is ranked 122nd out of 1,500 top party schools in the United States. Among other things, Anna is an equestrian, and has expressed some interest in law and intellectual property.
A number of interests and thought processes led to my inviting Anna to be a guest on this podcast.
First, I find myself thinking about mine and all our children’s future. Some of my children have finished college. One avoided college – well he tried it for two months – and he is doing quite well. My Youngest is now applying to all sorts of universities. They all have their own ambitions, and, of course, I want them to prosper.
Second, she may shed light on her and some of the post-boomer and generation X generations. I strongly believe we need to figure the new generations out, and they need to understand us more too!
Third, I am curious to learn if college changed since I went forever ago, and if so how.
Fourth, I am interested in discussing the challenges youths face, career paths, and options for her and future generations.
Fifth, she must know more than me about the online world and social media. I must pick her brain.
Sixth, as always, there are other topics I enjoy discussing. As always, as conversations go, we discuss a number of things, and you never know ahead of time where a conversation will lead.
